Media library

The SPICS is equipped with a specialized media library that is continually updated with a selection of works, in the major languages, in direct line with the interests of the centre. Books, magazines, newspapers, records, cassettes and video tapes, films, cds and cd-roms make up a wide-ranging and valid apparatus for consultation both for those who frequent the SPICS programme as well as for those who wish to keep updated in the social communications field. The various sectors are linked to an IBM 9121 ES 9000 computer which uses the STAIRS program. The data fed into the computer allows for easy access to titles, author, subject matter, key words, and cross reference.
